Breaking Down Barriers to Maternal Healthcare

An alarming number of women die whilst giving birth in the Central African Republic (CAR). To change this, we run a clinic in Bambari, a rural part of the country. Take a look:

Meet Prisca

Not all heroes wear capes, some wear pink scrubs! Prisca is one of the midwives at our clinic in Bambari and thanks to her, more women and mothers can enjoy a safe pregnancy and delivery in Bambari.

“I don’t know what I would’ve done if the services weren’t here.”

Poundala is just one of the thousands of mothers who received a safe delivery at our maternal health clinic in Bambari, in the CAR. Thanks to funding from the European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations (ECHO), we are on our way to win the fight against maternal mortality in this part of the country.

Meet David

We don’t just support women through our maternal health programs in CAR, we are also determined to end gender-based violence (GBV). That is why we train educators and community mobilisers like David so that he can raise awareness about the dangers of GBV among his peers.
