Nutrition Support Brings Hope to Displaced Families

At Bokolmayo Refugee Camp in Ethiopia, our dedicated teams provide lifesaving nutrition services and education to displaced families.

In Ethiopia, where more than half of all children under 5 are malnourished and millions face chronic food insecurity, International Medical Corps provides lifesaving nutrition programmes. By partnering with regional health bureaus and leveraging community knowledge, we’ve reached thousands of children and their families with therapeutic food, education, kitchen gardening programmes and poultry packages.

At Bokolmayo Refugee Camp in Somali region, International Medical Corps delivers much-needed nutrition support and education sessions to displaced people and the host community.

International Medical Corps provides integrated nutrition and food security services across four drought-affected regions of Ethiopia: Amhara, Oromia, Somali and Tigray. In addition to providing direct nutrition support, we train members of mother-care groups to promote nutrition and healthy behaviours at home and in their community. Through these mothers, we reached more than 1.25 million people with health and nutrition messages in 2024. Learn more about our work in Ethiopia.
